The Everest - Randwick, Australia
Hong Kong superstar Ka Ying Rising returns to defend his crown in Saturday’s $20 million Everest, chasing a remarkable 22nd straight win. Last year’s runner-up Tempted is unbeaten this year and shapes as his main danger, while Manikato Stakes winner Jimmysstar and market mover Joliestar add further quality to a star-studded field.
Caulfield Cup - Caulfield, Australia
Turnbull Stakes winner Cosmic Crusader heads the market for Saturday’s Caulfield Cup, with defending champion Half Yours looking to retain his title under topweight. A strong international contingent led by Wine Dark Sea and Enfjaar adds intrigue to the 2400-metre feature.
Shuka Sho - Kyoto, Japan
With Oka Sho winner Star Anise and Yushun Himba winner Juryoku Pierrot both absent, Sunday’s Shuka Sho has an open feel. Unbeaten Rose Stakes winner Monroe Walk looks the leading contender as she steps up to 2000 metres, while Oaks runner-up Dream Core teams up with Christophe Lemaire. Shion Stakes winner Master Soarer is another key challenger.
